Pre-School Teacher
Mrs. Venuti
My name is Mrs. Venuti and I am the PreK teacher. Our class consists of 3 and 4 year olds.
This is my 11th year at Immanuel Lutheran School. I started as the teacher assistant and I have been blessed to have moved up to be the lead teacher for the last 4 years.
I feel extremely lucky to be apart of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. I truly enjoy coming to work everyday and being with these little angels. I love teaching and the smiles on my students faces make it all worth while.
Our days definitely fly by while we are learning, working and playing. Each day is a new adventure and I hope this journey continues for years to come.

Music
Mr. O.
I began my ministry at Immanuel originally as the church musician in January 2016, but did not begin as the school musician until August.
I was raised in the Southern Baptist Church first in the suburbs of Washington D. C. and then the suburbs of Atlanta. In junior high and high school, I took piano lessons while playing oboe in the school band. I started playing piano and organ in the church as a junior in high school.
I served that church through college and for two years after until I moved to New York to attend the Teachers College at Columbia University. While living in New York, I attended a Baptist church while subbing in churches of all denominations. I continued as a substitute organist and a substitute teacher after I finished my Master of Arts in Music and Music Education in 2012.
It was in this context that I learned that Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danbury was in search of a Director of Music. After three trips from Brooklyn to Danbury and back via Metro North (before the Danbury train ran directly to Grand Central), I officially began my ministry here in January 2016.
